The WSBL – Sunshine Youth Basketball League is a youth sports organization that offers organized league play for children in grades K – 12. The WSBL is in partnership with the City of Winter Springs Parks and Recreation Sports Program. In addition, the WSBL are partners with the Orlando Magic Jr. Magic program and Jr. NBA/WNBA. League play is offered during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. In addition, WSBL also conducts summer basketball schools during the months of June and July for the purpose of teaching fundamental basketball skills, enhanced by structured contests and games, targeting those players interested in further development of their basketball skills.
The WSBL offers a winter league from early November through mid-February. Games are played on weekends and some week- nights. The season consists of an eight-game schedule and a culminating tournament for divisions with six or more teams. During the months of March, April, and May, the WSBL offers a spring league that operates the same as the winter league.
The majority of our league coaches are parent volunteers. Additionally, we utilize the talent and skills of several high school and college students each season. These student volunteers also receive community service credit hours that are required in the qualification process for Florida academic college scholarships. These volunteers include that as coaches, scorekeepers, clock operators, camp staff, and gym managers. The WSBL offers a coaches certification program for all coaches at no cost to the volunteer coach.
The WSBL registration fees include official fees for games, facility rental cost, utility fees, custodial fees, equipment costs, jerseys, and giveaways. Additionally, other league expenses include clerical, printing, accounting fees, attorney fees, insurance coverage, office supplies, telephone, gas, and contributions to various school fundraising efforts as well as other youth affiliated organizations.
The WSBL offers a limited number of scholarships that allows many underprivileged and at-risk children the chance to participate in our program at a nominal cost to their families. This has enabled many students and families to become involved in a positive community based recreational program under the guidance of positive role models.
WSBL offers a valuable and worthwhile service to the community for an affordable and reasonable membership fee.

Summer camp information is available. Camp will begin the week of June 10th at Willow Creek Church.
